Margaret Goodheart
Margaret Goodheart is an Associate Vice President of The PAR Group, working on executive search and general management consulting assignments. As a senior Human Resources professional, she has strong strategic skills and proven operational achievement, with success across all functional areas of Human Resources in industries such as manufacturing, distribution, health care, public accounting, and merchandising/design.
Ms. Goodheart has extensive management and leadership experience in large, publicly held companies such as Keebler and Ernst & Young, as well as in mid-sized, family-owned organizations in the Chicago area. In the latter, she was responsible for establishing "start-up" Human Resources departments, providing hands-on knowledge of policies, procedures and programs. She has overseen and managed staff in multi-site locations, including international divisions.
Ms. Goodheart’s expertise covers all functional areas of Human Resources, including Recruiting and Staffing, Compensation, Benefits, Training and Development, Legal Compliance, Labor and Employee Relations. Throughout her career, she has developed and implemented progressive and creative programs and policies, from designing salary administration plans, to writing and presenting internal employee training, to negotiating successful labor contracts and developing comprehensive benefit programs.
In addition to her extensive Human Resources background, Ms. Goodheart is also experienced in Organizational Development, having created a new department for her most recent employer. In this area, her focus has been on providing one-on-one leadership coaching and performance management utilizing MBTI, DISC and 360 degree feedback; creating and facilitating departmental programs in team-building, effective change management and conflict resolutions; as well as planning and implementing successful restructuring of functional areas, including new job processes and work redesign.
Ms. Goodheart received a Master of Science degree in Industrial Relations/Human Resources (MSIR) from Loyola University, where she was a member of the Jesuit Honor Society. She also has an undergraduate degree in English, Secondary Education.
