The City of Park Ridge has a strong emphasis on economic development and has established two TIF districts. The City Manager reports to the Mayor and a seven member City Council. Two City Managers have served Park Ridge since 1990. The City is seeking candidates with a record of significant accomplishment in a full-service community. A bachelor’s degree in public administration, urban management, public policy, business administration, or related field is required plus seven to ten years increasingly responsible public management experience as chief executive or Asst. CAO in similar community or larger community or combination of relevant experience and training. Master’s degree in Public Administration or Business Administration is highly desired. Strong general management, economic development, and fiscal management skills very important.
