The DuPage County, Illinois Emergency Telephone System Board (ETSB) is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of 9-1-1 Coordinator. The Coordinator's responsibilities include directing the activities of the 9-1-1 System and staff based on ETSB Board Resolutions or direction in the areas of: budget implementation and management, financial accounting, long range financial planning, 9-1-1 System design, maintenance and upgrade including telecommunication equipment, the wide area network (SONET), the Computer Aided Dispatch software, hardware and feeder data systems that present criminal justice data to the CAD workstations to facilitate appropriate dispatch decision-making by the PSAP dispatchers, the Automated Vehicle Location (AVL) system, the Master Street Address Guide (MSAG) 9-1-1 emergency response database, and compliance with State and Federal regulations regarding 9-1-1 System, PSAP and Backup PSAP operations. Candidates should have comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practice of government management; comprehensive knowledge of State and Federal regulations pertaining to 9-1-1 systems; comprehensive knowledge of 9-1-1 System design and equipment. The Coordinator will be an employee of DuPage County but will report to the ETSB Chair and Board Members.
