Cudahy, Wisconsin (population 18,315). Historic, full-service community located in metropolitan Milwaukee seeks experienced public works professional to lead its Public Works Department consisting of 39.5 full-time equivalent employees and $7.0 million operating budget and varying annual capital budget. A community of 4.5 square miles, Cudahy is undergoing redevelopment. The City is seeking candidates with a record of accomplishment in a full-service community that offers a full range of public works services. Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field required plus five years increasingly responsible experience as department head in similar community or Assistant/Department Head in larger community or combination of relevant experience and training. Professional engineering designation required or obtainable within 6 months of appointment. Strong general management, financial management and administrative leadership background, labor relations experience, outstanding organizational skills, plus proven interpersonal communication skills and well-developed writing skills required. Appointed by Mayor and confirmed by the Common Council and Water Commission. Salary range: $85,000 - $100,000 DOQ. Submit résumé with salary history and five references by June 30.
