FINANCE DIRECTOR

The Village of Brookfield (population 19,085) is a vibrant, diverse community located 13 miles west of downtown Chicago. The Village is a well established, stable and serene community of 3.1 square miles and is home to the internationally recognized Brookfield Zoo. The Village is seeking experienced municipal finance professionals for the position of Finance Director. The Director must possess excellent leadership and management skills as well as demonstrated oral and written communication abilities. The Director reports to the Assistant Village Manager and can expect to participate in a collaborative, team oriented management environment. The Village employs one hundred full-time employees and has a total operating budget of $29,025,289. The Village seeks candidates with a strong knowledge of municipal finance. A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field is required; a CPA, MPA, MBA or similar advanced degree is preferred. Candidates should have five years of increasingly responsible experience in public finance management.
